Fellow Bobcats,

Being the best is fun. Winning championships in college competition provides a thrill like no other. We all know this. But we also know that programs don’t win every game, that championships don’t come around all that often.

My four years as Athletic Director at Montana State University has taught me that winning games and championships is not the most significant part of my job, and although it is both fun and important, it is not even the most enjoyable.

The best part of working in college athletics, and the greatest reward for being at Montana State University, is relationships built not only with our student-athletes and staff members, but with our supporters.

MSU’s proud athletic heritage and proven record of academic excellence bring about the opportunity to position ourselves as the premier athletic program at our level.

As I’ve met with so many Bobcat supporters across the nation, they have clearly communicated that this is a source of pride. I can assure you that those of us that work with these outstanding young people take tremendous pride in their accomplishments, as well, and we work hard to make sure they understand this.
