Montana State Women’s Tennis Team Ends Regular-Season with Sweep of ISU

The Bobcats finished the regular-season with an 11-8 overall mark and a 7-1 Big Sky Conference slate. MSU also earned the No. 2 seed at the league tournament next weekend in Sacramento, Calif., and will have a first-round bye.
“We really closed out the regular-season with a lot of confidence and momentum,” said MSU head coach Denise Albrecht. “We accomplished our goals for this part of the season; however, we know there is more tennis to be played, and we’ll continue on with our business-like approach.”
MSU opened play against the Bengals winning both doubles matches, while dropping just one game. The Bobcats then picked off the top five singles matches in straight sets, including shutouts at No. 4 and 5 singles, where Ali Griffin and McKenzie Hilmer posted identical 6-0, 6-0 finishes.
