Northern Arizona ended MSU outstanding season in the semifinals of the Big Sky tournament, 4-1, on Saturday.
“We’re disappointed,” said MSU women’s coach Denise Albrecht. “However, when we get the time to look back on what we accomplished this season it will take some of the sting away. We had our best conference finish and we did it with a young, talented squad. I’m proud of the way we competed against a good Northern Arizona team.”
Montana State’s (11-9) only point came early in the match as the Bobcats captured the opening doubles point with wins at No. 2 and 3 doubles.
The Montana State (14-11) men dropped the doubles point in its match against EWU. The Bobcats had a strong showing at the top two spots, but each match was unfinished as the Eagles captured victories at No. 3, 4 and 6 singles.
