“All of us in the athletic department are extremely proud of the dedication our student-athletes have to academic pursuits,” Director of Athletics Peter Fields said. “ Not only does it speak well of them as a group, but we also celebrate their individual successes as well.  All of us in the department have a strong commitment to academics and this achievement reflects the hard work of the coaches and the academic support staff as well. ”

Of the 358 student-athletes, 58 percent achieved a GPA over 3.0. Twenty-six made the President’s List with a perfect 4.0 and an additional 80 made the Dean’s List with a GPA from 3.5-3.99.
