If there’s a hotter-shooting team in the country than Northern Arizona, it would be hard to find. The Lumberjacks shoot 61% from the field over the last three games, including 71% in a home win over Portland State, and with five of their last eight league games at home stand as one of the Big Sky’s most dangerous teams entering the second half. It seems like ages ago that the Bobcats swept Northern Colorado and Northern Arizona in the first weekend of December. Since then, NAU has benefited from the return of key players Eric Platt and Shane Johannsen, while Northern Colorado has established itself as the 10th-ranked mid-major team in the nation. NAU star Cameron Jones has averaged nearly 24 points per game since Christmas, and his emergence as one of the league’s dominant player has spurred NAU.
