Corey Smith earned a singles win, but MSU fell to Big West foe UC Santa Barbara

Montana State senior Corey Smith extended his winning streak to three singles matches, but Montana State fell to UC Santa Barbara 6-1 in Boise, Idaho, on Friday.

Smith topped Alex Konigsfeldt 6-1, 6-3 for MSU's only singles win of the day. Alberto Fuentes and Fletcher Keyes also combined to top Konigsfeldt and Taylor Chavez-Goggin in doubles, 8-3.

The Bobcats face Boise State on Saturday.
