Montana State sophomore Geoff Irwin parlayed one of the best runs of the day into a seventh place finish in the men’s giant slalom at the RMISA Qualifier, Thursday afternoon in Winter Park, Colorado.
Montana State sophomore Geoff Irwin parlayed one of the best runs of the day into a seventh place finish in the men's giant slalom at the RMISA Qualifier, Thursday afternoon in Winter Park, Colorado.
Irwin had a two-run clocking of 1:55.70. His 59.07 showing was the second-best, second-run of the event.
Denver's Seppi Stiegler won the race in 1:54.12.
Other Montana State finishers included Chris Barber, 14th, 1:56.70; Mike Mackie, 21st, 1:57.70; Paul Britvar, 26th, 2:00.71; and Ryan McConnell, 29th, 2:08.38.
The Bobcat women's team was paced by Hannah Victory, who placed 16th in 2:05.94. She was followed by Marissa Riopelle, 26th, 2:12.92; and Ali Leighton, 27th, 2:13.10.
DU's Lindsay Cone won the women's giant slalom in 2:02.36.
