MSU faces Hornets in rematch of 125-point 2010 epic
Even a year later, the numbers from Montana State's 64-61 overtime win at Sacramento State in 2010 are breathtaking: 125 combined points (only three in the overtime period), 1,270 combined yards, 160 total plays from scrimmage. The Bobcats led 37-10 at halftime, were caught by the heat of the Sacramento sun and the relentless Hornets offensive attack, and then rallied to tie the game late in regulation and win it in overtime. Each team rides the momentum of a big win this week, the Hornets beating Montana for the first time and the Bobcats becoming the first road team to win on Eastern Washington's red turf. The veteran tandem of quarterback Jeff Fleming and running back Bryan Hilliard leads Sacramento State's offense. The Hornets' defense is led by end Zack Nash, with Ryan McMahon and Todd Davis each averaging 10 tackles a game.
