No longer "interim," Bobcats choose Basye to lead Women's Golf

Montana State Department of Athletics announced that Brittany Basye has been named the head coach for Women's Golf, after serving as the interim coach since August of 2011.

Basye returned to MSU in 2011 after serving as an assistant coach for the 1999-00 season and then as the head coach from 2000-07. During her first bout at the helm of Bobcat Golf, the program finished as high as fourth place in the Big Sky Conference.

“After the search process, we felt that Brittany continued to show that she's a great fit for the program, as well as the department and University,” said Director of Athletics Peter Fields. “Her approach with our student-athletes shows her dedication and we're excited to see what she can accomplish in the future.”

MSU golf just closed out the 2011-12 season with a seventh place finish at the Big Sky Tournament. During Basye's first year back, she led the Bobcats to a seventh place finish at the conference tournament.
