Hice Signs With Bobcats

Standout thrower to continue career at Montana State
Montana State Track and Field announced the signing of Justine Hice to a National Letter of Intent to continue her athletic and academic career with the Bobcats beginning Fall 2012.
Hice comes to Bozeman from Roundup, Mont. and is a 2012 graduate of Roundup High School. As a talented multi-sport, she earned four letters in volleyball, three in basketball and two in track and field.
Most recently, she finished third in the javelin at the Montana Class B Championships, after winning the event at Districts earlier in the season. Throughout her career with the Panthers, she broke the school record in the javelin on four separate occasions and holds the current mark at 138-08.00. Her school record throw marks the third longest in the state of Montana.
Also during the 2012 season, she placed fourth at the district meet in the shot put with a lifetime best throw of 33-05.50.
Off the track, she was captain of both the volleyball and basketball teams her junior and senior seasons.
Outside of athletics, Hice is very active both in the classroom and the community. She has been on the honor roll for all eight semester of high school. In the community, she is president of the Goulding Creek 4-H Club and helped her volleyball team raise 1,000 dollars for breast cancer research and awareness. Other volunteer activities include Roundup Toys for Children and Roundup Food Baskets. She was also the chapter president of Business Professionals of America and active in Roundup High School's student council.
Hice is interested in a Health and Human Performance major at Montana State.
