Bobcat Club Summer Coaches Tour in Full Swing
5/12/2014 9:50:00 AM
Support our student-athletes and join in on the Bobcat fun!
While the summer months may seem quieter on Montana State's campus, the Bobcat Club is busy collaborating with all our Montana chapters for the Summer Schedule of Events.
Having unofficially kicked off back in April at the Triangle Classic, the Bobcat Club is hard at work fundraising for our student-athletes throughout the state of Montana. The Lewistown Spring Social marks the true opening of the summer season on Monday, May 12 at the Elk's Club in Lewistown. Football's Coach Rob Ash and newly hired Men's Basketball Coach Brian Fish will be a part of our Eastern Swing in Lewiston, Glasgow (May 13), Plentywood (May 13), Glendive (May 14) and Miles City (May 14) events.
On May 22, the Bobcat Club crew will head to central Montana beginning with the Butte Social, followed by a brief hiaitus until June 5 for the Helena Golf Scramble and Barbeque. The Golden Triangle Social in Shelby (June 6) will continue the Central tour with Billings (June 10) and Great Falls Golf Tournament (June 13) bookending that portion of the summer fundraising efforts and another chance for Bobcats from all over to get together and celebrate the Blue & Gold.
The remainder of June will feature events in Missoula (June 18), as well as the Kalispell Bobcat Bash Social and Golf Scramble June 19-20. Fort Benton hosts their golf scramble on June 27 at Signal Point. Flathead Lake will close out the summer slate on July 26 at their Golf Scramble and Dinner on July 26.
"Summer is a busy time for us but it's so worth it and a lot of fun," said Associate AD of Development Josh Wanago. "This is a great way to fundraise for all our chapters but more importantly, it allows Bobcat fans from all over the state, as well as our coaches, to get together, talk Montana State and have a good time."
In addition to the Bobcat Club's annual summer tour, there will also be a social media photo contest for attendees to participate in. Post your pictures from the Bobcat Club events using the hashtag #BobcatSTATEtour to the Bobcat Club Facebook page or twitter handle @BobcatClub to be entered to win a Bobcat Fan Pack. Winners will be announced at the end of the summer.
