Soratos Advances to National Stage

Cristian Soratos will compete at the NCAA National Championships in Fayetteville, Arkansas March 13-14. Soratos will be representing the 'Cats in the mile at the championships.
The senior ran a 3:55.27 mile at the Washington Husky Invitational in Seattle, Wash. on February 14. This mark puts Soratos as the faster mile-runner in the country thus far in the 2015 indoor campaign. Soratos was crowned Big Sky Conference champion in the mile, the 800 and the distance medley relay last weekend at the indoor championships, in addition to being named the Male Outstanding Performer of the meet.
Soratos will compete in a preliminary race on Friday, where 10 athletes will then advance to the finals on Saturday. The top four finishers from each heat, in addition to the next two fastest times will have an opportunity to run for the national championship.
