Changes Made to Bobcat Football Game Day Traffic Flow

The changes will allow emergency vehicles and apartment residents easy access to the Stadium View apartments before, during and after all home games. Changes will begin with the first home contest on Thursday, Sept. 3 at 7:05 p.m.
With the opening of the Stadium View apartment complex to the immediate west of Bobcat Stadium, Montana State University officials have announced several traffic flow changes on game day to accommodate the safety of Bobcat football fans and apartment residents.
The changes will allow emergency vehicles and apartment residents easy access to the Stadium View apartments before, during and after all home games. Changes will begin with the first home contest on Thursday, Sept. 3 at 7:05 p.m.
Montana State University Police and Parking advise fans to be patient, take it easy and slow down, especially on game days.
Traffic Plan Highlights:
Traffic will flow normally prior to and during the game on all streets except Kagy Blvd., between 7th and 11th, which will be closed as in previous seasons. A detour flowing along 7th, 11th and Grant Street will be in effect for the Kagy closure.
The post-game traffic plan will start during the 4th quarter and will remain until traffic flow has normalized. Key elements of the post-game traffic plan are:
* There will be no-one way traffic flow on Kagy this year. Kagy will remain open to two way traffic between 11th and 19th for the duration of the game and during the post-game traffic plan.
* Kagy will remain closed between 7th and 11th Avenues; the detour around Grant Street will remain in effect during the post-game traffic plan.
* Traffic flowing southbound on 11th towards Kagy Blvd will be required to exit westbound on Kagy. There is no southbound traffic flow through the intersection of 11th and Kagy during the post-game traffic plan (from the 4th quarter on).
* Traffic flowing northbound on 11th towards Kagy from the stadium will be directed westbound on Kagy or northbound on 11th at the discretion of the traffic control officer directing traffic.
* During the post-game traffic plan, residents of Stadium View apartments can enter the apartment complex through Stadium Drive West from either eastbound or westbound Kagy Blvd. They may also enter from 11th. During this time, the easiest way to enter the Stadium View Apartment complex will be to approach Stadium Drive West on Kagy from 19th.
