MSU Men's Basketball Faces Difficult 2025-26 Schedule

Cats host Denver, St. Thomas in non-conference tilts
BOZEMAN, Mont. (Aug. 5, 2025) – Home games against Denver and St. Thomas and a challenging road schedule highlight Montana State's 2025-26 men's basketball schedule, Bobcat head coach Matt Logie announced this week.
"Our priorities in scheduling each year are to prepare our team for Big Sky conference play, find ways to bring players to their home regions so they can play close to family, and provide opportunities that will prepare our team for the types of teams you have to beat in March," Logie said. "This year's schedule accomplishes all of those things and will allow us to learn quickly where our team needs to grow in preparation for a very competitive Big Sky slate in January and February."
The Cats face opponents from the Big 12, ACC, Mountain West and Big West during the upcoming season. The Cats visit Colorado to open the 2025-26 campaign, then host Northwest Indian two days later for the home opener and Denver on November 9. On Nov. 12, the Cats begin a stretch of road games that leads the team to Stanford, Boise State (Nov. 15), Long Beach, California (to play Noble on Nov. 19 and Long Beach State the next day), and Utah State (Nov. 29).
December begins and ends with home games in Worthington Arena, as the Cats host St. Thomas on Dec. 3 and Northwest on Dec. 22. In between, MSU visits Oral Roberts on Dec. 6, Oregon State on Dec. 13 and Cal Poly on Dec. 16.
The Big Sky season begins in festive fashion, when Montana State hosts Northern Colorado on New Year's Day. NAU visits two days later. The Cats host UM on Jan. 17, and visit Missoula on Feb. 14.
